What I think of the Ice Bucket Challenge

What I think of the Ice Bucket Challenge

I don’t know about you, but I get the feeling that the society we’re in, is somehow terribly wrong.

We’re living in times when good men who volunteer as humanitarian workers get beheaded. We all saw that schools, hospitals and even children on the beach were bombed this summer. A lot more is happening if we have eyes to see it.

Whilst there are children out there whose only wish is to have drinking water, others are throwing ice buckets, because it’s fun!

#LFW Bloggers Lounge

#LFW Bloggers Lounge

Just before the weekend I got an invitation in my inbox for a bloggers lounge evening to celebrate the London Fashion Week – an event organized by Bloggers Love. I gladly accepted the opportunity for socializing with other bloggers and meeting new brands.

I invited my beautiful friend Zahra from I Am Chic London and put Robert’s name on the guest list – he’s much better with the camera than me, plus I knew I would be too busy browsing around and chatting to take photos.

Pastels and a Billboard

Pastels and a Billboard

{Monday Outfit Post}

While we were in Stara Zagora, we walked all the time, everywhere. The town is not that big and you can easily walk through the main part of it. Wherever you need to get, it feels like walking to the nearest tube station in London.

One of the evenings on our way out for dinner, we saw a bold red billboard of a Bulgarian beer. The evening was falling down, but the advert was lit so well that it looks like a backdrop of a stage. So I decided to have some fun and pose for a few shots on the front.

Now I’m noticing that at the time I had a bit of a sun glow on my skin. Unfortunately, it’s all gone now due to the constant clouds in London.

The Streets of Stara Zagora

The Streets of Stara Zagora

{Travel Diary}

It’s very hard for me to take pictures and talk about this particular town. Although I’ve been away for more than a decade now, Stara Zagora still remains the place where I’ve spent the biggest part of my life. It’s the town I was born in, the town I grew up in, I made my first friends, I went to school, I walked through all the possible streets many times, my mum caught me smoking secretly for the first time and the place which will always be my first hometown.

You can understand why it’s hard for me to observe it from an outsider point of view. Luckily, Robert is fully capable of capturing moments and street corners on the camera. Now let me take you on a walk through the street of Stara Zagora…

Purple Jumpsuit

Purple Jumpsuit

{Monday Outfit Post}

I seriously enjoyed walking around in a purple jumpsuit in my hometown. So many people were looking at me with confusion. We got to my parents apartment and my little brother sighed “Urrgh!” with a surprise!

Purple is a very bold colour and won’t leave you unnoticed. In marketing we say that it brings the associations for mystery, luxury, royalty and even creativity. In the Bible it’s the colour used for the Tabernacle. To me it’s a vibrant colour which brings joy on a sunny day. Wearing a full size long jumpsuit in purple was fun and combined with tanned and golden accessorizes was a nice casual option for a walk through the city.

Varna Roof Tops

Varna Roof Tops

{Travel Diary}

Varna is a very special seaside town for me in Bulgaria. It’s the place where I spent my student years and I can talk about it for ages.

Last year I showed a bit of my favourite Bulgarian town and some of its loveliest beach bars. If you’ve missed, check the post here. This year I’d like to show you Varna from a bit different angle.

{Monday Outfit Post}

In Varna – one of the towns at the seaside, we stayed in the hotel with the best views. Our room was on the 13th floor and we were able to see many of the city landmarks, the docks where The Expendables was filmed and the beautiful Black Sea.

Nessebar

Nessebar

{Travel Diary}

Nessebar is one of my favourite little gems along the sea coast of Bulgaria. I haven’t been there for ages, but I still remembered it from the numerous times I visited it in my childhood. It’s not only a seaside town, it’s a place where you can find traces from a distant past, marks left by cultures and civilizations who settled on this small peninsula.
