Maybe you haven’t noticed yet, but I have a little obsession about… shoes. Very little! 🙂
I only have about 40+ or 50+ (I need to count them to make sure). As my excuse I can say that my mum used to have a collection of 100+. I definitely need to do quite a lot of work to reach that number. There is only one slight problem – someone has to tell my man that he needs to build another draw for me. Otherwise, I’ll have to sleep with them under my pillow.
I was on a shoe shopping diet for a couple of months and this June I rewarded myself with a few new pairs. I want to introduce you to my latest beauty twins from my favourite shoe brand – United Nude.
I looked for the United Nude shop in Westfield Stratford recently, but I couldn’t find it so I guess they’ve moved out. I can’t blame them actually. So I ordered a pair online. My excitement was so big when it came a huge black box with one logo on top of it. A nice brochure showed me a few more items for my next shopping list.
Well, let tell you why I like this brand so much. This is my second pair so far. I like the quirky style, which they apply even to the most classic shoe model. There is no surprise the result is so good when an architect makes a shoe. The design of all the shoes is amazing, while the quality and comfort replicates it.
The story behind the brand is also very interesting. You can read it on the website, but I’ll tell you briefly. The founder Rem was in love with this girl and in order to bring her back, he designed the iconic Möbius shoe. She didn’t come back to him, but his model became a hit and a reason for establishing the new company together with Galahad Clark. I guess she regretted her decision later.
Luckily for us though, probably none of the shoes would be invented otherwise! Sorry… I said it 😉
Here they are. A pair of Elastic Black X Wedges.
There was something I wasn’t quite sure about – the platform is made out of some material which I’ll call plastic, as I have no idea what it is exactly. There is no padding, so you’d expect them to be very uncomfortable and tough, especially when wearing them for a while. I tried them on for a whole day and there is nothing quite as comfy as them! The platform has the shape of the foot and it feels like in a boat. Somehow, you really don’t need padding or cushions. They compliment your feet perfectly!
