You thought blush pink is a pastel reserved only for Spring? Think again.
With evenings starting early and long golden hours you can have your blush autumn this season. This soft shade of pink is delicate and empowering in the same time – just the same way motherhood makes me feel.
The modern blouse
I find myself totally drawn in the deconstructed shape of the modern blouse. With oversized ruffles, bell sleeves and a generous usage of fabric it is a perfectly feminine cover, especially when made in a blush pastel shade. You can wear it over a straight midi skirts, full-volume culottes or wide-leg trousers. For a casual street style, I paired with skinny jeans and topped it all off with a simplistic sleeveless coat.
Blush autumn accessories
When creating colour blocking, you can’t go wrong with matching blush accessories. Even better if each accessory has a story…
One late summer day, just before the school year started, I saw two little girls and a boy with their own pop-up shop on the street. The little boy was running between the passengers giving away hand-written fliers, whilst the girls had carton boxes to display their handmade accessories. Supporting their young entrepreneurship, I obviously had to purchase a pretty little bracelet with soft pink roses.
The beautifully engraved key ring is by Manofatto – a brand who produces handcrafted bags and accessories in Honk Kong. Tassel earrings and flat shoes with a knot detail come from one of my favourite fast fashion brands – JustFab.
