Canterbury Tales

{Monday Outfit Post}

I’m back with a few things to share with you this week. Last week I didn’t make any selfies and outfit pictures. Luckily, I’ve got this post which I prepared from the previous weekend, so I can start this Monday as usual and get back on track.

Canterbury is one of my favourite small towns in England. It’s such a romantic place and all of its beautiful chic streets tell stories about old times…

You can have a boat trip on the canals and hear tales said with a specific British humour. You can see the guilty chair on which women used to be drowned a few centuries ago: if she dies after a few minutes under the water – oh well, she’s innocent; if she doesn’t die, she’s used witch craft, so she’s guilty and will be drowned again for longer. On that same chair husbands would put their wife for a minute in the cold water if she talks too much – just as a warning. Well, I don’t know how much if this is truth, but this is what the boat man told us.

You can also admire the beautiful cathedral, walls and towers of the town. When you get tired of sightseeing, have a sip of Belgian beer. You might even pass that “curious” house which leans over the street just to see who’s passing by. And if you’re lucky enough to be walking down the streets in a nice sunny day, you can enjoy some lazy time in a pub’s back garden as we did.
