I was asked a couple of times if there is a company behind the Bloggers World Calendar Project, who has helped me to publish it.
No, there isn’t!
It’s only me as an artist and a graphic designer who has worked on the calendar from scratch to its finish. The content is created by all of the 12 featured bloggers.
Let me tell you how it all began…
It was one night in September when I couldn’t fall asleep until 5 or 6 in the morning. My mind was browsing through the last couple of months, thinking about the blogging and how much it has taught me. Since I started my own lifestyle blog, I have a direction to think positive even in the moments when I’m not feeling that good. It is through blogging that I met some amazing people from all around the world and we ended up chatting frequently and checking how our days are going.
With these thoughts on my mind, I decided to create a calendar – to honor those who inspire me and hopefully to inspire others. The more people around the globe a calendar can reach, the better!
You don’t need to have a blog yourself, but through the calendar you will meet 12 different women: young students, creative designers, mothers, wives, regular women getting along with anything life throws at them – moving to a new town, working in a hospital, helping family members overcome cancer, creating art in the kitchen, raising children, designing jewelry, staying stylish and simply enjoying life!
You got the idea! 🙂 The very same night I wrote a few emails to some of those bloggers explaining the idea. A few hours later (when the sun was up in their countries) I had positive answer from each of them. After a few months of exploring blogs, looking for the most inspiring people and a huge exchange of emails, I had all the information from 12 bloggers to create the design and fill all the pages with.
I couldn’t ask for money from the featured bloggers, because I didn’t know if it was going to be successful. The design is my personal creative view on the project. I did the full completion process on my expenses – from proof reading, through print, to shipping, marketing and advertising.
I’m hoping that each of the featured bloggers will share it with their friends and followers, so the followers of one of us will check the rest of the bloggers and might even follow them too if inspired. And if someone gives the calendar to another person who doesn’t read any of the bloggers, the audience will expand. So the more we share the calendar, the more people we can reach to and inspire.
As I’m already saying on the last page:
I believe that the bloggers community can help the world become a better place!
