Le Tour de France in Britain

All roads lead to… London!

This is how I’m feeling lately. We were listening to the Tour de France on the radio and heard they were going to pass the Olympic stadium…

We – along with our neighbours – decided to go out for a walk and to have a glimpse. The road which was part of Le Tour de France was literally 10 minutes away from our workshop, so we went just before the cyclists went past.

You don’t see the French Gendarmerie right next to the Union Jack every day! People have been taking their places hours ago to have a glimpse of the cyclists, so the moment we arrived we got into the excitement. A few minutes after we cheered happily, all the supporting vehicles were gone and the road was clear – the cyclists were already making their way to Big Ben! How fast were they moving?!

And it wouldn’t be Britain, if it didn’t sprinkle a bit of rain, would it? 🙂
