I know I haven’t posted any foodie posts for a while, so I thought it was time for one.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t eat burgers. I just don’t. I remember a situation when I was once at a yard-party. The menu was burgers and sausages, so I had to choose one. I got the smallest burger, but I didn’t know what else I need with it. The woman next to me started offering me ketchup, brown sauce, mayo… plenty of things I don’t normally use. She saw my confusion, so simply hit me with “How do you eat your burgers?” – “Uhrr, I don’t eat burgers.”
And because burgers are not on my menu, let me show you a healthier option which I prefer. I made this one for brunch a few days ago and it took me 5 minutes to arrange everything in the plate. The only thing which needs cooking, is the egg.
(Sorry for the blurred photo, but I’m still learning how to work the camera. I wanted to show you the layers.)
Muffin, cut in half and warmed up in the oven
2 slices of Pastrami beef
a sliced tomato
a sliced avocado
bunch of wild rocket and green salad leaves
sprinkle of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a pinch of black pepper
I know… no chips. But I rarely eat them too. This burger-like version tastes good and doesn’t stick around the bottom 😉
