Weekend Fun

{Monday Outfit Post and Weekend Review}

After the past few busy weeks, Robert and I needed a holiday. We’ve been thinking about a city break somewhere close, when we were invited to a birthday party of a friend of ours. This was the ideal moment, to make our long waited holiday and we didn’t even have to leave the town.

We booked a hotel on the other side of town and we enjoyed a weekend away, without being too far away. The weather helped us feel even more as tourists and explore another part of London.

On the next day we had a wonderful walk through the Crystal Palace park and enjoyed the nature wonders, adored the tree blossoms and all different shades of green.

I really like it how all the parks in London have been built for the public and on a sunny weekend day everyone is outside occupied with all sorts of activities: families walking around, kids playing at every corner, fit people running… There was even a car race – small tiny electronic cars – can you see that one on the photo?! 🙂

As you might have notices, I love parks and spending time outdoors. My work keeps me on the computer for very long hours, so when there is an opportunity to go out for a walk in a sunny day, I’m taking it!

I remember 3 year ago, one late evening we were walking through the streets of Soho and passed by a lit fashion shop front. There was displayed a pair of pink jeans and Robert said “Would it be nice if you got these jeans? They would look great on you!” My reaction was: “Are you crazy? You will NEVER see me wearing pink jeans”… Well, by never I meant 3 years really. This year I voluntary bough a pair of pastel pink jeans from ASOS and embraced the spring colours.

Note: UK size 6 skinny jeans are a few sizes too big for me. UK size 6 super skinny fit me perfectly. How odd is that? I really like the soft fabric and the colour, but rather than skinny, they look like bf jeans on me.

There was an issue with the heels which I found out when we left the hotel. The straps were supposed to go behind the ankle, but at every 5 steps I made they would come off and the shoes were ready to slip away. So I simply made them looser and put them on the front – it looked a bit different, but at least I was able to walk in them.

In the end of our walk, we went to a pub in Crystal Palace and when looking for a free table, we saw this little fella getting ready for a nap in the corner. We sat down for a few cuddles and purrs before it went to sleep.
