I’d lie if I told you that motherhood was an easy job. The little girl keeps me so busy that the outfit posts I used to love creating have become a real challenge. Like this combination of rose gold and black which I wore on the first day of the year, but I’m finally getting to post it on the blog.
First months of motherhood
Getting myself ready and going out for a photo shoot is almost a mission impossible, when every 3 hours there is a feeding, nappy changing, bottom washing, nursing to sleep. All to start over again just after 20 minutes.
I’ve been on and off social media for the last few months, but this last week I made a return on Instagram. I dared to share through one of my posts how I felt and I was really surprised by the support I received. I truly felt the power of sisterhood. Friends of mine and other mamas who I have never met before shared with me their wisdom, some told me their stories, others listened to mine. It helped me a lot to know that I wasn’t alone. My little girl is getting more independent and that allows me to have a little time for myself. Hopefully soon I’ll have the time for the things I love doing – reading, writing and designing, so you will see more of me on the blog again.
Rose gold obsession
Now let me get to the point – rose gold. My obsession with rose gold started a little over a year ago. Not a particular fan of pink, I fell in love with this shimmering shade. It’s very chic and it can be styled in so many ways and for so many occasions – from casual daily looks, to party attires or dreamy boho chic.
Winter time we’re all naturally drawn into darker tones and I make no exception with my long love for monochromes. During the colder days I love combining warm cozy layers of black with the soft shine of rose gold. A pair of JustFab ankle boots are definitely my favourite ones this season. And you have probably spotted them a lot on my stories if you followed me on Instagram.
Excitingly, I found a simplistic bracelet from Monaco Regatta to add some Riviera nostalgia to my look in the cold days. The arm candy named French Lady features a sterling silver plated in 24 carat rose gold and a monochrome black rope. I can’t wait for the summer when I’ll be wearing this classic bracelet with a breezy dress, black sandals and a straw hat.
